Thank you Sir,
I have learned alot from this forum and Rexs book.I have finished Rexs book and have also taken notes to study as well as downloaded NC gun laws and ect. I still plan on entering this profession but still waiting on my motorcycle to sell, so I will have the money for the class and exam. Once this happens I will definitely contact you to let you know.Just with the economy its proving hard to sell atm. I am very interested in the profession and will do the best I can with anything I do. But I have to stress to all the other soon to be members of this profession to do your research even if someone tells you something is ok to do. You are a private citizen and can be thrown in jail and sued very easily.

I have absolutely no problems with Agents wearing Badges when allowed to do so in their state. In fact, I think one day soon NC will allow this practice, but until then it wouldn't be a good idea for me to see an NC Agent wearing a badge. While we are getting some really good Agents here, I won't sit by and watch some wannabe, screw up our already tarnished image. This tarnished image is nation wide it seems.

So wear your badge in NC and a couple Investigators I know will pay you a visit. Way too many years in this business to sit by and watch these fly by night's further tarnish our image.

Great picture Bill !! So you bonded him out of NC and took him to VA. When all else fails, improvise !! Absolutely legal and obviously effective.

I've met them in prisons on their release date and taken em back to wherever but never tried that tactic....Great job !!

Well Bill, I could have waited for the family to bond him and then arrested him but I had no idea when they might show up... and frankly, I had been after this guy for a while and wanted to close out the account... luckily I had friends in NC LE who called me and told me they had him in custody and were taking him to the local lock up... as mentioned, I was over at the lake which accounts for my attire. I had the badge on my belt and my DCJS ID clipped on my shirt collar and the officer that helped me took my picture cause they all thought it was sort of funny that I showed up in sandals and shorts.... so now, every time I have to contact that particular jurisdiction (which I will not name)... they laugh and say... "oh, your the guy in the shorts and sandals...." and I just laugh and say yes... but they know I can be serious when need be.... I think so anyway....

As you are probably aware, I have a ... uh... lets say... colorful reputation... which is not always a good idea... but I do operate within the law and according to proper “Etiquette”...

ADDED LATER.................. FOR CLARITY............... 8)
I might add here that we all should appreciate your dedication to this business and your insight and knowledge over the years... when I grow up, I want to be just like you... 8)

I do hope you understand the first part was serious and the second a joke... (I read it after I posted it and thought you may not see the difference so I thought I might... clarify.)
