That is the cost for 2 run trip cruise tickets, plus "expenses" to Hawaii for the Boss and me.  Naw just kidding. Once I get back we will start working on the bylaws, then decide start up cost, etc, we will try to figure out a dues amount. But it will be as low as possible. This is / will be a non profit industry advocacy group.

But you are correct... this is a very important step toward our improved reputation as professionals and the removal of much hype surrounding the misinformation of our industry, loosely based on TV and assumptions.

Well,
I just finished my last meeting here in warm St Petes Beach, Fl @ the Don Cesar Resort. Yesterday I was the first speaker and I talked about putting together a coordinated effort to firstly fight ptrs, save commerical bail and fugitve recovery.
I did not speak much at all about the recovery part, other than that the bail parts have to also bring the recovery side into the discussion and action plans.
It will be a slow process to get everyone on board but I have taken the first set towards that. With the NABBI up and running, we can then take another step to getting more say at the table.
I will like to see as many recovery people as possible attend the February 2012 PBUS conference in Las Vegas to start process. We have time to discuss that, but everyone should start planning and thinking about it now.
Please be aware that many of the movers and shakers in the PBUS and attendees, like dog and want to use him and beth as the face of bail to open doors.
Most of you already know my opinion of them. I had to hold my tonge quite a bit this week to not poison my efforts here. So, again, I'm sure we will have many lively discussions about working with a group or groups that may have different opinions and strategies than ours.
The title of my session was, United for Survival. I hope we an do that.
