Homeland security notified Harrison County Indiana Sherrif Dept that MS13 was moving into Corydon Indiana (about an hour away from Evansville). Heads up to anyone in that area.

You can add Hamilton, Marion and Johnson Counties in Indiana to the list. The local news had aired a segment the other night on these gangs and how they are becoming a big problem in these areas. HEADS UP!!!!!

In the last few weeks, I have noticed an increase in grafitti for SUR 13 here in Richmond, IN. Fortunately, I have not seen anything to lead me to believe that MS-13 is active here, but I will be keeping my eyes open, as well as talking to some friends in the local police and sheriff's departments. I am also making sure my kids and their friends are aware of the problem.

Here a few years ago a group of gangs arrived to recruit membership in our little town. A group of elder men called a meeting and invited them to it for a talk. They said to come unarmed and they would be checked and they complied. You see we do not have much as far as diversity goes in our little county. Anyway, the elders informed them that they would not tolerate their presence as gang members and recruitment into their gangs in our little town and, proceeded to pull out their own guns for display to these thugs. They informed them that they were old and, had lived a good long life and, whether or not law enforcement could or would handle the problem, they would not stop these old men from cleaning house the good old fashioned way. To this date we do not have any type of gang activity here and wonder what would happen if these thugs tried to set up shop here where things are done a little differently.

Yes this did happen...... you have to remember this is Arkansas.

This MS 13 sounds like a real nightmare, I'm glad I've never had the dis-pleasure of dealing with them, should they arrive in my town they will meet the Constable from hell or heaven depending on who you talk to, I would certainly be making house calls often enough to make living here very inconvenient for them.

Ms13(el salvador) , MS18 (guatemalan) , White power gangs, and militias.

are all prevalent here in Northwest Arkansas.

in fact I just got a call from a sheriffs deartment, telling me that a guy i just bonded out, is a member of a white power gang, and that I should use extreme caution If i ever have to apprehend him. he is apparantly on the local gang watchlist.

I still haven't figured out which skip had the MS-13 tat in my AO, but tracking down gang-bangers isn't new around here.

For the most part, my tactics enable me to fly in and fly out so fast that some wayward bail clients don't start asking questions until the booking process starts, but, every once in a great while, investigations get protracted to the extent that some goofball will try to intimidate with threats.

In one incident, a caller attempted to ruse me into meeting on a 500K bail to "pay cash" at some isolated location (some vineyard in Alameda County) in the middle of the night. While I can't prove anything, I suspect that the caller was somehow related to a case involving.....you guessed it....a gang-banger.

Other incidents over the years have happened, and the key here is to use good common sense regarding personal security and safety-comes first tactics.

Rick;

I have been to your neck of the woods several times. Each time, the Skip is either a member of the Aryan Nation or Aryan Brotherhood. Both groups have similar tats, BUT, both Groups HATE each other!

Both Groups are in the Meth Biz to buy weapons.

When I am chasing a KNOWN "Gang Member", I will use this to my advantage. I will seek out the "other gang" and put the word out that I am looking for this certain person. I will tell this Gang, "Tell me where to find the body and I will pay you".

So far I have cleared 15 cases (since 1984) with a Death Certificate. I believe in letting the Sharks work for me.

I have been a member of this forum for over a year and I checked the forum daily for a very long time before I actually became a member. I respect the professionals here and feel I have learned a lot.

It is my nature to stay in the background and not "stir the pot." However, there is no way I can let this go without comment.

We spend a lot of time discussing how the actions of certain people in our field cast us all in a negative light, but this just takes the cake. I believe any prosecutor in the country would label the actions described above as "accessory to murder." I absolutely cannot condone such actions, and I sincerely hope that any person reading this thread will realize that this is not how the job should be done.

I am 'assuming' that what he means is that if the other gang has already delt with the fellow (that is why he can not be found) that he get's that info about where they left the skip.
