Kevin

What I meant was cross NY & OH off the the list of States that she can work in, my company primarily operates in PA, NY & OH.

I'm familiar with Ohio law, in NY you must be licensed as a PI or BEA by NY, they do not recognize out of State licensing.

As for Florida it's my understanding that an out of State bondsman can recover their skip there but no BEA's are permitted to operate there.

I thought this still fit into Lance's original topic. I think she needs to figure out what she really wants to be. I was very leary before and I am very very leary today. She was also invited and photographed at the premier of Domino....... Why all of this attention for a newbie? Maybe that is another question she would be willing to answer for us.

This following article was reported in 2003. She said she left her past 10 years ago and I said I could appreciate that but, why 2 years ago did she use her past to try and sell her womb?

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) -- A former porn star is hoping it pays to be a surrogate mom -- $500,000 to be exact.
Starting Monday (Jun. 23), Sandra Margot will auction off use of her womb on eBay for a whopping $500,000, not counting medical costs.
It's not the first time Margot has sold her body. As porn star "Tiffany Millions," she appeared in films like "Two's Company, Three's An Orgy" and "The Adventures Of Mr. Tootsie Pole."
This time it's a little different. Margot, who is happily married, will only allow herself to be artificially impregnated.
Although $500,000 seems a steep price for renting a womb, Margot thinks she's worth it since blonde, blue-eyed ladies with high I.Q.s are in demand on the surrogate market.
But there's another reason for her desire to be a surrogate mom -- hot sex. Margot has all the family she wants but says her hubby gets hot and bothered when he sees a lady with a bun in her oven.

HGunner,

You are correct...and so am I..Fl has banned free lance bounty hunters..period.

As you pointed out, the statute is very clear....you have to be the actual bondsman, or appointed by that bondsman, or a licensed BEA under contract to that bondsman.

My point is in refuting her claim that she "can legally hunt in all 50 states"...The Fl statute prohibits her from hunting there unless she meets the stated requirements.

But she cannot just waltz into Fl shouting and screaming "bounty hunter" and jerk people of the street willy-nilly.

I think we have all proved our points...that Sandra-name-of-the minute is a whore, liar, media joker, and unprofessional. She has contradicted herself in this thread many times, she made false statements in her magazine interview, and she is now manipulating her PR any way she can.

My personal opinion is that she has tried so hard to be accepted by mainstream America, and been rejected by them, by legitimate Hollywood movies and producers, tv, etc. Now she is facing middle age and she still has not "made it". Thus the reasons for all of her last ditch media manipulations and schemes for recognition, fame and fortune.

This will not last much longer. "This too shall pass"..where will she be in 3 years ?..5 years ?..10 years ? She will be another nameless, faceless, nobody totally forgotten by America..and all her schemes will have been for naught.

Ruffin.

Hadley thanks for posting the Florida Statutes, I learned something new about Florida Law, they allow BEA's licensed in other States to recover a skip from that State in FL as long as they are appointed by the bondsman who wrote the bond, however the out of State BEA cannot call himself a BEA in FL, what a crazy world we live in, let's hope any possible federal legislation makes better sense.

As for Sandra I was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt but that last article about her "selling her womb" leads me to believe that she is desperate for media attention just like someone else we know of, playing up to the media usually means giving the viewers what they want to see not the real deal.

As I have said many times before yesterday is yesterday - I was willing to welcome her into the fold - my attitude is a little different than most because of my backround I guess- I know many cops that have married hookers and other porn stars and I busted many people in the porn industry years ago-alot were good people - that was how they made their living - don't get me wrong I do not condone that way of life but i do
understand it.

My problem with with her backround comes from her continuing acts of (in my opinion) media frenzy- porn star-selling her womb - putting herself up as a pro bea when in fact she has done this for approx a year(as she later stated to us on this forum) her continuing search for stardom by media attention can cause serious errors in judgement out in the real world(as proven by du-du- and beth many times over on national tv)she could easily get herself or someone else injured or even killed with her media seeking ways.As I have said many times before this proffession requires the utmost in concentration, attention to detail and focus. with the distraction of media attention in the backround she poses a danger to herself and the public at large.this media hunger is proven by her past and seems to continue today. Our job grows harder daily with the influx of three day wonders, unscroupulas schools(i know i murdered that word), reactive publicity seeking left wing legislators(both state and federal)(they should be proactive and listen to the pros not the media) and now the media attention given these so called pro bounty hunters add another layer of crap and deceit to the growing pile-Whats next to show up on national tv-Charly Manson saying he wants to help society by becoming a BEA if he gets released or John Hinkley applying for the secret service when he gets out- the media would flock to that like a moth to a flame-So i think i'll take back my welcome until she pays her dues in this dysfunctional business(to quote LAW) and proves she's here to help not to show off for the media

Although I have not posted a lot on this board, I have been an avid reader of it for a couple of years now. I have been fortunate enough to work with several professionals here, and , like many others, I have been recruited (unsuccessfully) by the not-so-scrupulous unprofessionals like the illustrious Mr. Barber.

While I agree that there is the need for us to police our own, I feel the most effective thing we can do to lead by positive example. It is very easy for any of us, myself included, to point fingers and say "this is wrong" or "that shouldn't have happened," but we need to take the extra step and point new people in the right direction, offering help and encouragement... UNTIL someone has proven that they should not be in this industry.

While some of us may have less contraversial backrounds than others, I think there are very few bona-fide "saints" who enter this field. Call me naive, but I do believe that people can change if they really want to. I believe it is our responsibility to show new people in this business how to avoid the mistakes and bad calls that reflect poorly on the rest of us.

I will admit that my wife won't watch any of the "bounty hunter" programs with me anymore, because I tend to spend the entire programs pointing out mistakes and explaining how I would have done thigs differently. But these programs all feature personalities who claim to have been on the job for a while and SHOULD know better.

That's my (probably overpriced) two cents.

Kevin you have a good point-I am no saint and like you say most in law enforcemnt are not saints-most if not all of us have things in our past we are not pround of or would like to change but this is what 30 years arresting people has taught me--if somebody stole 10 years ago they were a thief 10 years ago not now--if they continue to steal they are a thief today and most likely wil be tommorow. remember the old saying that a leperd can not change his spots. In my opinion Sandra has proven herself a glory hound with her past behaviors continuing today as shown by her latest escapades with tv.do i blame her this might be her golden oppertunity to get rich.not at all go for it.
by putting herself up as an expert bea she casts a cloud over the entire proffession-you get people saying i want to be just like her - is Sandra the image we want to show the world - the fact that she is a licensed ca pi speaks well for her but is shadowed by her glory hound past.

I personally have spent dozens of hours helping new agents with backround work , tactical planning and various other topics-most of the experianced beas on this forum have also been open and available to get new people started off on the right foot-i post my phone number at the end of all my posts and tell everyone if they want my help or advice(it not always the best but i do try to give the benefit of my experiance) to call me 24/7

the influx of three day wonders and unqualified teachers and schools are a direct result(in my opinion) of tv a-holes(you know who i mean) and sensationalism by the media.this problem has caused many spin off problems and has the potential the cause the elimination of bea by statute.
we all know our legislatetors are easily swayed by fiction not fact and media not reality-we all know they are reactive not proactive-putting up the wrong people in their faces as experts can and will lead to our demise.
there are many agents on this board that have much better writing skills then than i and they have said this in more eliquint language than i ever could but the simple fact is you do not show the runt to represent the litter or a plug to represent a race horse or me to represent mankind why put up du-du or sandra to the public to represent bea-not a good thing--again after she pays her dues with a few years under her belt i would be happy to welcome her as an experianced bea with a good knowledge of our field-there are alot of females in bea that have paid their dues and are qualified as experts to speak on the behalf of beas why did they not get the chance.
