Does anyone know where I can find information on the laws for GPS tracking devices? I need to plant one on somebody's vehicle, but I'm hesitant until I find out the legalities. Any info would be appreciated.

Did you look up anything regarding GPS tracking in the Tennessee Code Annotated? You might want to look at case law and things of that nature. No more oxy clean

I can tell you that here in Virginia, it is quite normal for PI's and BEA folks to use these devices to track and locate POI. I am researching the legality now (Virginia), but they are being used regardless.
I have a question related here... since (in my knowledge of GPS devices) the device needs a clear view of the sky... how can it work properly if concealed "under" or beneath metal that blocks its sky view???

Does anyone here know GA code regarding this? Also, has anyone here had any success with these units?

I looked them up,pnce, but I don't remember where I found information. I remember that the law on recorded conversation was "can be recorded and used if one person from the conversation is aware of the recording". I don't remember what was said about GPS and/or other tracking devices.
