I couldn't place the Benchmark on there. To many pictures, I assume. There are many that will use Gerber's Suspension Multi tool as there tool of choice, also, when deployed.

Mr. Suggs, I am presently putting together a group of pictures of California weaponry... give me a day or so and you will be impressed... all of your California weaponry in a concise, compact picture group for your reference.

I have to admit defeat... after googling for 30 minutes or so... I can find nothing in the weaponry department that is currently 'legal' in your state... oh... here are a couple of quickies I found but nothing of real interest....

Here we have a highly respected Wanna Be deputy sheriff with the latest in California weaponry... classified until recently... this has become the weapon of choice among sudo-lawmen in California. It is however illegal for the general population. Note the great badge he is wearing which he received when he joined IPIU and was made a member along with his official certificate of membership.


Here we have a DeMarini 2009 CF3 DXCFR (-8) Senior League Baseball Bat; it is rather expensive at $299.00 but should prove to be invaluable as there are no known current California restrictions or bands on this particular weapon. It is however, rather hard to conceal but you do not have to have a CCW.


Here we have a very useful weapon in the battle against California crime... the venerable extra large rat trap. This model comes in extra large and super for the really big rats that tend to be found in the darkest reaches of those California big cities. The one pictured here is designed for two legged 6', 250lb rats that have been seen in the dark of nite in the alleys of Los Angeles. The only draw back to this item is the bait is a big rock of crack cocaine which costs a little over $15,000, it can however, be used over and over and over again....

Ill tell you one thing that came out of CA laws that is good. The 416 Barrett. Barrett did it mainly to thumb their noses at CA laws and built one heck of a weapon.

I certainly hope you never go 'postal' Ruffin.... cause I know you have some nice 'toys'... I don't know what .50 ammunition costs in Alabama but in Virginia... if you can get it... it is about $4.00 per round... a box of 20 was $75 to $100... that is what a local gun shop told me and that caliber ammo is on back order so somebody must have some of these weapons out there?

Depends on what kind of .50 bmg ammo you want...like everything else, there's several different varieties, grain loads, and purposes.

In my area stores, last time I checked, a box of 10 rds is app. $50 for standard ball, fmj, 690 grn rounds. So basically about $5/round. But, like everything else, if you buy in bulk it's always cheaper. I did find a supplier online who sells it by the bulk, and I was able to get some at $3/rd. The rds I purchased are recycled military brass, but fresh powder and new bullets:

Re: "Weapons out here" - 1 of the Southeast's largest Gun Dealers can't keep .50cal BMG's in stock. He carries, among other lines, both the Bushmaster and the Barrett. On a side note, a funny thng happened to me while at the store. I ran into Hwatts who is also a member here. He had just purchased a BM AR .223. When he asked me why I was there, the salesman had just rolled...that's right...rolled my .50 out to me...lol the case it is in has wheels on it. He just shook his head and laughed.

I was just reading the other day the Army CID Agents were returning to .45 cal for more stopping power. Because so many complaints had been made about the effectiveness of the M-9 and M-11 (Sig).

They could be.....There are a ton of complaints about the M9. I would prefer going back to the 1911.....OK, its slightly heavy but, man, is it dependable. I only have personal, long term, experience with three handguns: Glock .40 cal, a 1911a1 (one of the originals; that my grandfather left me), and the M-9. I have shot many others but only owned, or used often, these three. Heck, a Glock would be good with me, too.
