Last week, the California Bail Agents Association held its annual convention in cold South Lake Tahoe. Almost everyone there agreed that it was the best convention in years. It was organized by members of the CBAA board and some of their better halfs.

Two years ago I suggested that we have a panel of bail fugitive recovery agents and or CA PIs to discuss various aspects of recovery work. This year, we again had the bail recovery panel. Again this year we had Randall Crew as one of the panelist.

Due to the illness of one member of the panel, we also had for the first time Zeke Unger on the panel. Even though the topic was discussing CA PC 1299, the law that governs bail recovery work in CA, Randall and Zeke made the rather mundane topic very interesting.

If it is up to me, and I do have some limited authority, I will have Randy and Zeke back again next year. They did a great job!

I would suggest that if any of your state bail agent associations hold an annual convention that you should contact them to see if they would be interested in having either a panel discussion or just someone that has the experience that you all have, to "educate" the bail agents in real recovery work. You will be suprised to learn that many bail agents still believe that what they see on t.v. is how it is done.

Thank you for the extremely kind words, Tony!

It was, once again, a pleasure to have served on the fugitive recoverey panel for the Association.
