I work with Rutherford PD on a daily basis. I'm their Police tower. The same guys involved always bust my hump about me being a BEA. I guess now I have something to bust them back. Maybe on the next impound I'll start hooking up the patrol car..."Oops, wrong one". Karma...it always makes its way around.

Good Golly! What's going on? The stories are mounting, and the future of the trade is looking kind of gloomy.

Chuck, as I am usually the one to say let's hold on to all the fact are in, I may have jumped to conclusions regarding the NJ thing. I will go back and delete my post after posting this one because, frankly, you're right. Because of the need to go back and alter the thread on my end, I will be sure to ingest the proper amounts of caffeine prior to contributing while suffering from work-load fatigue and a troublesome sports injury.

SIDENOTE:

Hadley, L.A.W., Chuck, Steve, Robert & others, I just caught mention of something that I cannot share at this time until granted latitude, but, if it is learned to be okay, I will shoot PMs to see if it is suitable for public consumption or not.

I just heard that these guys were arrested for not having a valid NJ carry permit. This was after being called BACK by RPD. You would think the officers on scene would ask then, considering they were carring open.

No matter if these guys were right, wrong, or indifferent. The media has portrayed it in a negative way. Just meaning this is one more obstacle for the professional BEA to overcome!

I wish the gentleman the best of luck because I am sure in their minds they were doing the right thing. However the outcome is not looking to good for them!

Between the Barber Fiasco, USRB and several other bad incidents involving BEA's in NJ things are looking very bad for the industry there, Law Enforcement in NJ is becoming very frustrated with the situation and is having a hard time balancing their duty to protect the community while respecting the Bail Sureties right to arrest their skip, BEA's now have little to no credability with Law Enforcement in NJ with the exception of some BEA's that already have long standing relatinship with them, I suspect that very soon NJ will become very hostile towards BEA's making it nearly impossible to operate there.
