SEARCHING: Verifying employment

Our qualifications are Bail Bondsmen… we are not PI’s or FR agents so we may not have all access when searching for info… and we reside in Virginia… having said this…

Question: When you have a judgment issued against an indemnitor; the name, social, birthday, address and it has all been verified… you have a garnishment ready but are having trouble getting employment info on the subject… where do you go after you have exhausted all apparent avenues available. We have used FindMySkip.com, IRBsearch, LocatorPlus… and even run credit reports… none came back with credible evidence of employment. We know this person is working but for some reason we cannot get info on the job. He is a retired government worker and now has another job but we are unable to verify. He resides in Louisiana if that makes a difference.

FindMySkip.com has been the best of the search engines we used but still cannot verify employment… ran a bank/check search and the credit report search… I don’t understand why the credit report did not show employment.

2 choices:

a) contact the IRS for employment history

b) contact the social sec. admin for employment history. there is a form for this.

Ok... I did not realize we have access to either of these organizations... the SS access would really help me in my search for a couple of fugitives that are out and very difficult to locate... and the IRS... well, that would certainly be helpful... again, I did not know we could access any info from either of these… I was under the impression that only LE could go there... as well as DMV in Virginia... not accessible by us...

And while we are on the subject of searches… one of my fugitives is on SS and it sure would be helpful to know where the check is going… another inaccessible area… the US mail??

You can ask the post office for the correct address...but I would simply go to the ssa and ask them directly where it is going. there is a federal form for this we fill out and submit.

It takes time, but it does work.

Since its tax time , if you have a court ordered judgment, you may be able to get a tax intercept through the IRS.

I have not done so myself but have heard of others doing it. They can take his tax refund and send what ever he owes to you.
