Post subject: Illinois Bail Enforcement Question?!
 Post Posted: Wed 11 May 2005 03:52

Hello all,

I am interested in the occupation of Bail Enforcement. According to this site and others, Illinois prohibits Bail Bondman and bail enforcement. I live in Illinois and I really don't want to move.

Is there a way I can work around this. Someone once told me if I made a Private Investigations firm that Law Enforcement and Agencies can hire me for fugitive recovery services...

Any information is great, please reply soon!

Your correct, no Commercial Bail Industry in IL, your best bet is to work as a skip tracer, you locate the skip and call Law Enforcement to make the arrest.

Most pro BEA's do this whenever possible anyway in order to limit potential liability regardless of their AOE.
