I don't think egoes are the issue anymore. In the old days, the major players all knew each other and worked together, at least regionally. With the advent of computers, any piss ant wannabee is an expert because they said so.

The real issue is money. You can put on the best class available, but noone will come. If you aren't willing to invest in yourself, then why should I invest in you? The truth is that very few people make a full time living in this business. Some of us make a living in the industry by wearing many hats.
Some of us are in the recovery business out of neccessity, due to being bondsmen. Some of us have done this job for so long we are either burnt out, broke or just fed up. I wish I had a nickel for every newbie that was going to show me he was going to make a full time living at this business, all flashes of brilliance and out like a match in the wind. All of them save a few could have made decent money over a long period of time if they were patient and listened. But they were all smarter than me.

Even PBUS couldn't survive if they weren't propped up financially by the insurance companies, and there is alot more money changing hands at that level, believe me!

Tony, I hope to see you in TN. That way you might see that the egoes are non-existant, with major industry presenters coming, all in competition with each other somewhat, and all to Joe Stiles' credit. Funny thing is, this is the second time he has done this. The last time, there were over 420 people in attendance. If this gets sanctioned by the TAPBA you will be pressed to get in the door.

I wanna meet yall so bad, it aint funny. Things are lookin up, as in surgery may not be iminent. If so, I may try and sign up at the last minute. I just cant commit right now. Im trying some different things to avoid the surgery and so far so good. Still in alot of pain, but Im a fighter.

Luvonda, make plans as you have to. But if I can pull it off, and you still wanna ride share, we can make it work. But if you get a chance, dont counnt on me. Does that make sense? It will be a last minute thing.
