Im trying. I am on a strict diet since 1-27-07, I have lost 34lb. I wanna lose another 40lb. That will help some. I just got done with another series of epidurals. Gonna do some saline pushes to try and get the nerves off the bone to avoid surgery, but Ive had that go both ways.

Ill keep ya posted. I know this sucks to say, but Im an old hand at this back stuff. Been battling it forever it seems.

Thanks for the concern and support.

What kind of diet are you on ? 34 lbs is alot of lost weight ...I need to do that myself. I am exactly 100lbs over my recommended weight for my build.

Im actually on the Nutri System diet you see on TV. Its not a joke. The food is great, you get to eat 5 times a day and alot of times I cant finish everything they want you to eat. I love it. And its obviously working. Its super easy on the road too. A microwave at a convenience store. A quick trip thru McDs for a salad and take some fruit with you. A little planning and its easy as pie on roadtrips.

The good thing is, its a balanced diet. I believe in the next couple of months, I can easily quit buying their food and do it myself. Its not a big secret. However, their food is good and very convenient. And really not that expensive. I cant eat for $10 a day the way I was eating.

I messed up while ago when I said how much I wanted to lose, I wasnt thinking. I weighed 341 on 1-27-07. Last Friday, I weigh at the docs when I take my youngest in for allergy shots, I weighed 307. My "fightin weight" is 235. Thats where I look and feel the best. I havent weighed 200, as the chart says, since I was a sophomore in HS. Im a big man. Big shoulders, chest, arms, legs, ect... I cant weigh 200lb. I would be skn and bones.

Anyhow, give it a try. Its flat workin for me. My wifes doing it too. However, she only weighed 146 and wants to get back to 120. Shes at 135 now.

You guys :) The girl across the street from me is doing that. She says the same thing that Andy says, she can't eat all that she is supposed to.
I eat 6X daily (when I can) clean protiens, complex carbs and plenty of green stuff.
Do not get on that scale too often - muscle is heavier than fat and takes up less space.
Keep up the GOOD work, that will also help with your back....but then I'm not telling you anything that you do not already know. My goodness my back hurts just thinking about yours.

Just for an example, Ill tell you what I have had today.

Their scrambled eggs are powdered and I think are one whole egg and one egg white. But they are good. But, with what your allowed, I mixed water with that, added sauteeed mushrooms and jalapenos and a real egg, making my own little omlet. Looks like a 3 egg omlet. A slice of whole wheat toast and an orange. Not a bad breakfast, eh?

For lunch, I had black beans and rice, a salad, a half a can of tuna on whole wheat toast.

In about an hour, Im going to have 3/4 of a cup of blueberries with 8oz of blueberry yougart.

Tonight, Im not sure yet, but Im thinking of Lasagna, asparagus, corn, whole wheat garlic toast and instead of a salad, a cut up apple with a tablespoon of peanut butter for a sort of desert.

Then for desert later, probably either chocolate cake or chocolate chip pudding.

Not bad for a diet. 8)

Lunch and dinner, you can have all the salad you want. If your hungry, make a huge salad, if not, a small one, up to you and doesnt matter. Kim Chee is also ok. I really like that stuff. So alot of times, Ill have a small bowl of kimchee with some soy sauce and then a small salad.

Theres all kinds of things you can do to trick out the meals to fit your likes.

I like the diet.
