I received a telephone call advising me to check this Fugitive Recovery Network's 'Agent Directory' for persons advertising they are available for bail enforcement work in the state of New Hampshire but that they cannot legally perform such duties.

Please... ladies and gentlemen... if you conduct bail enforcement activities within the State of New Hampshire be advised of RSA 597:7. You must be registered after proof of completing the required training and provide proof of a minimum of $300,000.00 liability insurance or be a NH licensed private detective. This also means one cannot legally enter the state and remove their skip even on out-of-state cases. If you get caught operating illegally here you will be arrested and prosecuted; as some have already learned the hard way.

I would advise those who advertise they can conduct bail enforcement within the state of New Hampshire who cannot legally do so to remove their ad before they eventually get into some real difficulty they cannot deal with.

My name is Lance Allen Wilkinson and I approve this message.

L.A.W.,

Many may not realize that your effort to start this thread is a tremendous service.

With states enacting legislation concerning BE activities, my area of operation is shrinking, but that is why I have established contacts in other states.

Many people do not know and therefore violate the law by coming into California to pick up an out-of-state skip without first complying with petition requirements.

People, this trade of ours is in a constant state of flux where local laws are concerned, and blindly crossing state lines or working in your state without having all the facts is the proverbial recipe for disaster, in my opinion.

Rex
