I just don't get it! What is so terribly hard about doing your job within the letter of the law? We may not be 30 year veterans of the industry up here, but we do operate within the laws and stress legality, liability, and safety for all involved. Not bashing the South y'all, we have our share of dumb arses up here to!! :)

Kathy,
It’s a little trouble for me considering all the material that I have covered over these past couple of months; like Gun Laws, Third Party Resident Entering (you can’t).

However, I’m not sure how much physical training is involved with Bounty Hunters or Runners ( which is what they’re called in NC) in general. All the information that I have been studying on is based on the paperwork, rules, and regulations set forth by our commissioner of state, so for all other training skills needed to prevent me from ever getting into this situation, I assume would be learned from who ever decides to mentor me in the future.

What really is an eye opener is the fact that not only do I need to learn what’s required of me through my state to become licensed, but to prepare me in case the bail bondsman or bondwomen knows what they are doing too.

When to use force is really an important factor to me,and to be legal for all bounty hunters.

I can't afford a Hat, Shoes or a new Dress, but i'm still impotent

Has anyone noticed that in this story and several others that the BA/BEA seem to always face a gun charge of some sort. It makes me wonder does any one have CCW permit. Or is law enforcement just using the gun charges as riders for a plea agreement down the road. Once again poor planning leads to a poorer performance.

The biased media never tells the whole story. Most of us know this already. the more negative a picture they can draw, the more papers they can sell.

I made a post back in Mid- Dec. 08 on one of these same people that was arrested in Johnson City Tenn. He is someone that lacks any kind of training. I noticed the article stated he was a bail bondsman. The last check on N.C. Dept. of Insurance he has not been licensed since 2007. I don't see how the Dept. missed that.
