Can anyone see any irony in this story?
Ok, here it is.
The boyfriend of the sister of the illegal that is being deported is a Calfornia Correctional Officer. A PEACE OFFICER as defined by the state.
Here he is trying to help an illegal circumvent the state and federal laws that he took an oath to uphold! I'm sure that he also knew that the brother was in the country illegally.
Secondly, as a CO, his prison and every other one in the state, has 20 percent of its beds taken up by illegal aliens! That is an estimated 35,000 inmates. Now the feds have orderd CA to release 57,000 inmates due to overcrowding and substandard health care for the inmates.
Also, one would think that being a CO he would know how to check with ICE to see if the brother had a bail or not. The state prisons deal with ICE everyday.
Sorry, I have no sympathy for this family. The brother obviuosly has a criminal background that warrants deportation.
Finally, the only reason the Catholic Church is involved with immigration, is the latinos are their largest group of membership, at least in many parts of CA.
Our office is next to a local church. If it was not for the latinos, some that are illegal, this church would have had to close years ago.
This was an Italian neighborhood years ago. Most of them have died of old age or moved. The few that are left attend the first mass at 6:30 AM
All the other services are attended by latinos! I know because I am in the office every Sunday morining and they walk right by my office.
I don't care if I offend anyone. I am just stating the facts.
The "do gooder" organizations are very often hurting the cause and quite honestly, breaking federal laws when they help illegals.
