Being the convict he is, how in the hell does this douchbag obtain a private investigators license ? In the state of Texas, or anywhere else for that matter.

TV personalities can do pretty much what they want.... his supporters will scream to the highest that he is the 'great and powerful Oz'...

I would really like to see him come to Virginia and do a documented recovery.... just once.... 8)

If I may asked to be indulged here for a moment. I recall watching an episode where he was in Washington State and he kept stating that he was strictly there in an advisory capacity since he wasn't licensed in that state.

I guess that he could probably act the same way in Texas. This is just my opinion. I figure if he is helping bondsman with organizing their offices and making sure they are properly trained and outfitted there probably isn't any harm done...just as long as he doesn't break the law. 8)

But,

What they actually do is:

1) Go out and conduct surveillance
2) Interview / question people, family, etc
3) Carry pepper ball tear gas weapons
4) And put hands on and detain bail fugitives.

They did that here in California and I can only assume that they are doing that everywhere else they go. In CA, that is not helping, training or organizing. That is conducting a fugitive recovery operation. And that is illegal.

Felons can not act as or assist in bail fugitive recovery in California. Secondly, felons can not possess any tear gas weapons. Finally, no one other than law enforcement can possess a tear gas weapon in California that ejects a gas projectile, in other words, they can't use a pepper ball gun in California, which they clearly did in several of the shows he taped here 2 years ago.

You can thank your prosecuting Attorney or the prosecuting DA as it would cost millions to prosecute Dog and the Media pals will front any amount the dog will ever need to over come being charged with any thing. any body in charge with the process to bring him to court would lose their job all the way to the Judge. as these positions are people elected. That is my opinion only and has nothing to do with FRN or any of the other members here

Dog is not as big of a celebrity as many other "mainstream" actors, musicians, etc. And they have been charged and prosecuted for criminal activities.

Also, I don't think Texas is afraid of a 4th rate celebrity whose show isn't even in the top 200 on cable.

Remember, A&E dropped them after the many racial incidents, lawsuits and falling ratings. I doubt CMT will front too many lawsuit costs. His show is just not pulling the ratings to justify shelling out even tens of thousands to defend him.

The only thing big about him is his 4 inch high platform shoes, in my humble opinion.

Duane Chapman is living the American Dream. People either love him or hate him, or maybe like me, sort of don't care either way. If that's truly his home and vehicles, he's living much better than most I know...He may be playing the system to get to where he is, but so are judges, lawyers and a whole lot more folks. Went from a Texas prison to where he is now Go figure!
