Oh, that's nothing compared to what is going on in California, San Francisco in particular.
Many arrestees are booked in SF County Jail to only be released with in 24 hours. They were arrested for Child Porn, Assault Weapons, Assault Charges, Possession of Drugs for Sale and Weapons.
All of them initially had bail amounts ranging from $50K to over $300K.
I had a bail call of a female charged with carrying a concealed weapon, felon in possession, assault, criminal threats. Bail was set at $207K to start.
The next day all the felony charges were dropped and the bail lowered to $50K.
That night all charges were dropped and she was released, never even seeing a judge.
Mind you these are not false arrests. SF is taking the lead in "Criminal Justice" reform and dropping charges on everyone except the most violent offenders.
Remember this, " As California goes, so will the Nation. "
Time to start planning for your future job change or an early retirement. Bail reform is kicking into over drive and if the Democrats win next month, it will be fast tracked.

Thank Goodness I am retired with a hefty pension... plus dabbling again in the Stock Market Daily shorting Apple like a beaten step child.. $1500 to $5000 daily .. 45 minutes work... I ll gladly give up bail .. as it definitely is not what it was. In Miami the Bail Classes used to be 40 - 50 people deep standing room only .. of course appox 90% dont go on to make it in the biz.. I always say about 2 to 4 students out of 55 stay in the biz.. the rest just disappear... The last class here only had 15 people. (1 being a life long friend who will be under my wing .. so he will be one of 15 that is sure to get his license. Other than that .. I dunno.) Be well Tony. !

With Trump beating out Hillary, I think for now, bail reform is on the back burner at the National level.
However, California and other states are pushing forward at full steam ahead.
If it is not out right banned, it will be severely reduced and all "non violent" perps will be OR'ed.
Bail in San Francisco as all but dried up unless the agents want to write very quick, highly risky bonds. Otherwise the County gets everyone out in less than a day.
I am sure many other CA Counties will be following their lead very soon.
I too am surviving on retirement income and actually have another source of income that I plan on moving fulltime into after the first of the year.

Quote: actually have another source of income that I plan on moving fulltime into after the first of the year. They have strip clubs that spotlight retired Bail Bondsmen out there ?
