We have preached for years that the "Low Impact" approach works best. Despite the headlines, you are not required to be a licensed bondsman to do recoveries. The real lesson is no swat gear, no pursuit, no fake guns, no Tazer absent a MD concealed carry, and be aware of your surroundings. I do not know what it cost them to defend themselves, besides their career, but an educated guess is that the lawyer cost more than the bail recovery paid.
