Jonathan Falk, 59, appeared in bond court Friday morning charged with disorderly conduct.
Broward County Circuit Court Judge John Hurley, read the report, which stated that Falk was screaming and insulting people at a Starbucks in Fort Lauderdale. Falk then went across the street to an Einstein Bagel and did the same thing. "Employees at Starbucks called the police about Falk. He was arguing and cursing at the patrons. He was offensive and threatening," said Hurley. "Folk cross the street to Einstein Bros Bagels. I will admit that I have been to both of those places on many occasions. He then went out to Einstein and started yelling at the patrons over there."
In bond court, Falk repeatedly interrupted the judge and said that the report was false. "That’s horrible lies," said Falk.
Falk continues to interrupt Hurley, Hurley then says he had witnessed Falk's outburst at Starbuck first hand. Hurley revealed to Falk that he was sitting directly across from Falk as he caused the chaos at the coffee shop.
Hurley: "He told someone to [expletive] listen to him. Patrons stopped to watch the confrontation. Cars stopped and rolled their windows. Someone rolled down their window to take your picture Sir."
Falk: "I've never been in a more uncivilized environment in my entire life."
Hurley: "Sir stop. I’m gonna tell you something. I was sitting in Starbucks last week. You were sitting across from me babbling on your cell phone. People were watching you. You were throwing your hands up and cursing in Starbucks. At the time I didn’t know what was going on with you. I'll admit, I’m a witness to your bad behavior.
Falk: "Well good I was tortured your honor."
Hurley: “You were sitting in Starbucks. How tortured could you have been?"
Falk: "All you are is judging my arrogates in this stupid and ignorant place. How dare you?"
Falk claims that he is the executive director of a national tour for Veterans. Hurley made the decision that Falk's case should be transferred to another judge and have a mental evaluation.
Falk is being held on a $25 bond.
