Justin Earl Nicholas Todd, 33, was shot to death Monday in a residential area in Hayden, Idaho. Police are investigating his death, but have announced that Todd was a fugitive on the run, and lead police on a 20-minute chase that lead to him being shot by multiple Post Falls police officers.
While investigating the incident, police allegedly found drug paraphernalia, six cans of spray paint, three cell phone, materials to change his appearance, a knife, brass knuckles and stun gun combination
weapons, the Spokesman reported. Police believe Todd recently changed the color of his vehicle to white.
Allegedly, Todd was wanted on an outstanding warrant for eluding police, and his car triggered an Interstate 90 alert system that detects fugitives and stolen vehicles.
Police reported that Todd was shot and killed after his struck and knocked down an officer with his car. The Spokesman reports that charges will be decided by the Kootenai County Prosecutor’s Office once a report is submitted on the incident.
