There are several issues:
1) crime is decreasing
2) the number of crimes committed vs. the number of people committing those crimes is not quantified
3) all issues can be culled down to money, I am worried about my budget not yours
4) there is a cause and effect ratio for every decision taken, but people have to be committed to the process
5) pretrial is a business, although they will refuse to admit that
6) local governments are broke and LE agencies are being culled down or eliminated completely
7) people are willing to fore go protection as a cost saving measure
nobody addresses the true cost of recovering from such heinous decisions
9) what is saved by creating chaos and losing control of crime?
10) the true value of commercial bail is neither understood, comprehended or realized by those on the outside
11) Criminal trial lawyers think we are in competition with them, although pretrial is, and they don't see it
12) Sheriffs will be voted out of office if they lose control of warrants, which is beyond their control
13) an impersonal assessment would device a synergy of services between private and public sectors
