Very short story on WTVR news last nite about a local bondsman who apparently shot into a vehicle while attempting to apprehend one of his skips. Apparently, it was the wrong vehicle and the person he was seeking was not in that vehicle. The report said he was charged with several weapons violations.
I have found nothing in the local papers or TV reports this morning but as soon as the story breaks, I will post it here. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Let's wait for the full report... at this time there is still nothing... I find that rather curious since it was reported on News 6 last nite.... I am following the news but nothing yet............ 12:17pm.

Why would you shoot into a car even if your skip is in the car. If he does not have a weapon what would possess somebody to think that is acceptable? How do these people stay in this business beyond their first recovery acting like that? I did not think stuff like this really happened in this industry still.

You would be surprised at the number of people that think being a "bounty hunter"/recovery agent... involves being a "wild west cowboy" and want to shoot em up.... and that is the main reason they want to be like ............... TV........... that is the stigma "WE" are constantly up against........ welcome to the fray!! Actually, I am a bondsman only... and do not suffer from those outlandish characteristics and incorrect personifications and out of proportion TV affiliated titles... I am just an old softy, egg muffin who sits in my office quietly sipping a latte... and watches TV waiting for the phone to ring while wearing my 511 sandals and writing ridiculous posts on FRN and other sites... ?!! I have not shot into a moving vehicle in over a month now......

I knew some stupid things happened in the past few years. I would have thought Bondsmen would not hire the cowboy types. If a Bondsmen is as good a judge of character as they like to tell me. They should be able to identify that I am not a cowboy and these others are cowboys fairly quickly. Maybe I should stop wearing Tactical sandals when visiting them.

This is just another example of an untrained or wrongly trained BEA, or one that is just totally stupid. No matter what you think or are told that you can do, YOU are the one that is responsible for researching your state laws, and following them. Any bondsman will deny liability for your actions, no matter what they told you was legal or illegal to do. Know what you can legally do, and refuse to do anything illegal. If you lose a case because you stay legal, then it isn't a file or bondsman that you want to work for. Let the bondsman and their illegal activity make the news. Your reputation remains intact for the real work and reputation.

I still cannot find a single thing on this story.... this is rather unusual... most related stories are in the news quickly.... Gail and I definitely watched this story twice on a local tv station but have seen nothing since.... searches bring up nothing.... I am still looking.... can't figure why it would be buried....... mmmmmmmmm.

Unless.....................you fell asleep watching news and just.........you know you were thinking of that guy that pissed you off or something and just imagined a nice ending for that someone.....you know now that the pool is out of commission for the season life has to still be fun...imagined or otherwise.

Dave, Dave.... have you been into the "Nog".... Dave.... put down the pipe as Angela told me one time.... I have not shot into a moving vehicle in over 2 months now.... and that was because the guy stole my parking place at Walmart.... which was a perfectly responsible reason in Virginia to shoot at someone..... happens all the time around here....

Bill I'm a little disappointed with you. I started a " I WANNA BE LIKE BILL " fan club. I don't have the heart to tell all the guys you sip on a latte. A latte? For heaven sakes, that's like Superman stopping by for a cappuccino!
