I am not sure who the person was that wrote at article, and I was following him and agreeing with him/her up until the hack job on the bail industry. I will be the first to say that this industry isn't perfect, but nothing is perfect. You can have a charge of " Simple Assault" in NC and the Magistrate or Judge across different counties or states will set different bail limits. It's all subjective and a lot has to do with the def. behavior at the time of their arrest. Most of the people I have bonded out are frequent flyers...so they know damn well what they are getting into. Those states that don't have private have more chances of corruption within the system( The good ole boy network) plus it places a burden on the tax payers when they FTA. I like my job, I charge a fair price and do not feel one ounce of sympathy for doing so because in the end Charity starts at home...MY HOME....
