So I'm cycling over some hefty hills and have to stop for a quick repair. My activities were of some interest to the local wild life.

Anyways, I notice this Squirrel and toss him a piece of an energy bar, but I didn't notice the car coming up fast from behind me.

The Squirrel looks at the food, the car, the food, the car and goes for it before the car passes.

Luckily, the Squirrel decided to set a land speed record for Squirrels and grabbed the food and dodged the car, but it made me think.

I tried to help out the Squirrel who didn't comprehend waiting for the car to pass inasmuch that he could not look past what was in front. He rushed to get his stuff without looking ahead and at great risk.

This has been my experience with certain new people as well. I do what I can to help out, but, like the Squirrel, they can't look past greed and end up risking future business.

All in all, I'd have to say that cutting these types loose right out of the gate is in my best interests if their mentality is on par with a Squirrel; indeed, I wouldn't want to go through a door with a Squirrel-brain backing me up.

Rex
