The following is a brief, highlight narrative based on a cursory review of pending legislation in the PRC:
AB101:
The word "taser" would be replaced with "Remote Stun Gun" herein after called RSG.
No felon, drug user or minor may possess a RSG, but any person may possess a RSG for self-defense.
RSGs must bear the name of the manufacturer and serial number.
a licensed PI or PPO or employees of a PPO may carry a RSG after meeting training requirements as required by the BSIS (I'm looking into the training requirement thing).
AB157:
This bill would make it a misdemeanor to carry a RSG concealed upon a person or in a vehicle.
AB1237:
This bill would add RSG's to the list of prohibited weapons in that manufacturers would feel this one from what I gathered.
