AWOBB,

Just checked out that site, and surprisingly i actually liked it. I called the company, spoke to the owner, and setup an account. The owner is really cool. He asked me where i saw the name of the site because they get alot of buisness from Repoman.com but i told him i found it here. Thanks so much for the suggestion, its seems pretty concrete. (Ive been getting tired of the other two providers i was using giving me outdated info.)

Thanks again,
Rick

Yea, we talked for about 20 minutes on the phone. He has a good set-up there. In-house investigators and all.

I just read your question and the response and took a look at the site. I have used a couple of tracers that also reflect old intel… I know it is pretty difficult to obtain current or fairly fresh intel but it’s also hard to know who has the best sources. I started out with LocatePlus then also used IRBSearch but had never used the one recommended to you. Most have a monthly fee involved some even if you do not use the service during a 30 day period. Now myself, like many others that are bondsmen and only trace their own skips, sometimes have very limited numbers that I am looking for… but when I look, I want the best intel I can find, not stuff that is 2 years old as is the case with a lot of these sites.

So, having said all that, what I am looking for is a site that has NO monthly fee, no minimum uses per month and charges a fair price for searches and is also fairly easy to use… some of these sites I am familiar with get rather complicated as to what type of search you want and what types of info are available to you depending on the type of license you have and the business you are in and also the state you live in… IE… some states will not allow a DMV search while others allow most any type.

I am only a bondsman, not a recovery agent, but I do a lot of my own skiptracing simply because much of my business in small town America is relatively small bonds, like $2500 DUI’s or $5000 3 or 4th. offense misdemeanors… sometimes $10,000 felonies but most with folks that are local or can be collateralized nicely… so frankly my skips are few and far between and the ones I do have to go after are often times too small to employ a professional recovery agent cause there just ain’t that much money involved in the first place… and most of the FR agents want a minimum of $500 to start their car or turn on their computer… I can’t blame them, however, you still don’t want to forfeit if possible… I know a lot of you guys (and gals) are in big, freaky city environments that produce weird, drug crazed defendants (yes, I get a few of them tooooo) that disappear when you stroke the paper and you need all sorts of tracers but for me… I need good intel relatively few times, but when I need it……. I need it yesterday.

Let me add here (in my humble opinion) that the best guarantee on a bond is the info you get on the indemnitor, usually if they are solid, the bond will be solid and frankly I would just as soon have good info on the indemnitor.

However, no matter how solid you think the bond is... when you hand that paper to the magistrate... all you are doing is "rolling the dice" cause you never really know for sure...

So, having said all this… do you think skiptracers.com is probably one of the best and would you recomment others?

speezack,

Findmyskip.com has no monthly fees. They only charge you what you look for. I love the site. Their info is so good that I find 98.9% of my skips using that site. I have ran intel for other agents on this site and gave them the info I got from FindMySkip.com and I think it help them out also. But anyways, Just try them an see for yourself. I really think you will be pleased with them.

Steve has rn intel for me on numerous occasions. His assistance and the website he's talking about have helped me in finding some of my skips as well.

Even when I was on the road....Steve was there for me and was dependable to do what he said he would, when he said he would.

Not only is findmyskip.com the best I have seen yet, Chris Ghandour is an upstanding person and a truly professional Pi.

So you match a quality website with a dependable BEA such as Steve and you can't lose....
