There was a nice thread that seems to have been deleted.

What happened to it?

Why is it when LAW posts a Press Release about an apprehension it remains intact but when a competing company makes a posting about an apprehension they made in NH it mysteriously gets deleted even after a decent and informed discussion????

Mr. Parsons,

Please allow me to address your issues 1 at a time.

1) Your thread was not deleted. It was moved to an administraors only section for review by all moderators. When a topic turns negative, inulting, derogatory, etc it is moved to this area for review by all moderaotors and Admin. This is in the policies and guidelines sticky regarding this forum.

2) When any professional BEA is recognized by any media source, esp in a positive manner, the post is not controversial. However, the post you made stated it was a press release statement written by AMK for the press....not written by the press...huge difference there. Regardless though, the ensuing arguement that developed was the reason the article was moved to the Hold Area of this forum..again within the policies of this forum.

3) It has been repeatedly stated that any negativity, arguing, name calling, slandering, demeaning, disrespectful behaviour will not be tolerated and will be dealt with in accordance with the published guidelines for this forum...regardless of the parties involved.

4) As far as the " Right to Free Speech" goes, you didn't bother to finish the actual statement. The last part of that reads " As long as it does not infringe upon the individual rights of others" or something to that effect. Yes you can post opinions, ideas, comments, etc PROVIDED they are done in a professional, respectful manner and do not incite disharmony for this forum or any of its members.

Personal quarrells should be handled discreetly and stay between the individuals' involved and not aired out publicly for everyone to read.

Thank you for the clarification; how ever there was no argument in the thread in question that I could see; but rather an open and honest discussion between Professionals regarding Operations in the State of NH.

If it wasn't for this same discussion I would not have known about recent changes to the State Code in relation to Bail Recovery and I am sure the same goes for others.

I personally felt it was a good topic; and keeping in the spirit of a forum such as this that was set up to promote a free sharing of information, ideals and to update members of changes to legislation.

It would have done more good then harm. There will always be those that disagree with the thoughts and opinions of others as well as their interruptions of laws.

Also to address your second statement...
When any professional BEA is recognized by any media source, esp in a positive manner, the post is not controversial. However, the post you made stated it was a press release statement written by AMK for the press....not written by the press...huge difference there. Regardless though, the ensuing arguement that developed was the reason the article was moved to the Hold Area of this forum..again within the policies of this forum.

Press releases are generaly verified and reprinted as they are written with out malice. A source is not a source unless it has been verified by at least two independent persons. I know this because I work for a local TV News Station part time and deal with it every week. (http://www.wpri.com)

Part 4 of your message read in part As long as it does not infringe upon the individual rights of others

For clarification: Article 1 of the Bill of Rights reads Article the First: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

(Taken directly from a copy of the Bill of Rights hanging on my office walls along with the US Constitution and Declaration of Independence) {I have copies of the originals as provided by the US Library Of Congress}

I have no clue where you came up with "As long as it does not infringe upon the individual rights of others"?

Mark (Agent Parsons), here is a copy of the post that I put in the private area. Because of various issues this forum has had with certain people, the moderators have gotten very particular about negative posts in the open areas. Irregardless of personal issues, it is not good for anyone's business to have these aired in the public arena. Individuals have their differences, and it does not put forth a professional unity to air their dirty laundry in public. It is best to keep personal differences private. Either keep it in the private area or in a PM to the person you are having the problem with.

Kathy

"Mark,

Nobody really suspects you of being Agent8 that I know of. It is personal comments, nothing else.

If you look at previous posts, I was one of your first supporters to this private area (because whether or not I agreed with everything you had posted), you had done nothing and/or said nothing for me to consider you anything other than a fellow professional.

I do not know you personally, so I cannot make a personal judgment, either for you or against you, other than what I have seen and heard of your business alliances. This is a decision and reputation that you have to make for yourself."

I think that I have found what Agent Parsons was writing about :D I have made a couple of posts asking what was going on and now I think I have it... slow I know.

The post that I did not know was moved I had responded to also. I have looked at all of the postings from Lance about press releases and all had come from the news media themselves. The posting that Agent Parsons made was a self made press release from AMK Investigations and not from the media as I had posted in my response to that article. We could all make press releases and post them here but what would that accomplish? My suggestion would be that if you can find any news outlet that actually posted that press release then please post for all to see. Otherwise leave the advertising of such false appearances to the other sites that have been mentioned. This does not mean that the facts are false just the intent to make it look like it was a published article from the news media.

Hound you are missing the point.

A Press release; such as the one posted here, is what is sent to media outlets for publications. This is how the media learns of such things to publish. Generally they reprint a Release as they recieve it with out any changes.

The Release was a copy of what was sent to various media outlets for publications. Even Lance has to preovide a Press Replease for any articles that have been posted reguarding his operations.

Also what happened to my response to Mindtracker in this thread, Why do certian message get deleted or moved? Where is the professionalism in this.

In the last 3 days 5 threads I have posted or have been involved in have been "moved" or deleted.

I am not sure about Mindtracker and what is missing I, have moved one of your topics from the hold area back into the discussions area since in my opinion you were just defending yourself and it should not have been moved to the hold area.

Agent Parsons I understand that it was just a press release from AMK and that is how the process works my point was that in Lance's case his releases were copied from actual news articles and not from his original press release to the media which was not the case with the AMK release. I still stand on point in saying that if their release was published in any of the news media outlets then please copy that article for all to see. I do not think it appropriate to post someones press release that has not gained any attention from the news media but only serves to look more like advertising and is entirely misleading whether or not the facts of the release are accurate. I could and all of the others could spend all day here posting press releases just to impress everyone else without a shred of credibility to the piece in question.

I see where your coming from; I need to slow down a little when I read things sometimes as I do tend to read to much into things from time to time.

Lance had posted a message eluding to a release but didn't say anything further. I posted the release with a question to Lance asking if it was the release he was talking about. That is what started this mess in the forist place.

Nontheless it is a dead issue now and I am not worried about it.

Mark we do not provide press releases on our captures--most of the stories written about our arrests come directly from the newspapers--ie reporters that have an interest in bea--some come from police reports a few even came from neighbors--nh is a small state and yes capture of significant criminals are good stories--with our nation wide web of pro bea(all of who come from this forum) we make news--any pro here is welcome to call me 24/7 for help in our area--and if he or she wants to come here to make a apprehension i will gladly accompany them at no cost--again most here know that both lance and i will help on the drop of a hat--i have used my contacts many times to help bea members of this forum and will continue to do so--and yes i even gave frank a case in maine(i did not feel like traveling)--lance tends not to count locates and arrests by outside agencys(other states pds)but i do keep track(lance calls it my office wall--scrape books with case notes and pics)our avarages are over 120 per year this year if it keeps up i believe we will break 150--we have even repoed a car and three days latter arrested its owner on a fta for a bad check to pay for the car--on one repo (a yellow hummer on my site)i repoed the unit and appox 20 days latter from abondsmen in maryland i recieved a case on the owner of the h2 for fta out of maryland for over 100,000 in bad checks--we popped him in nashua
