MOST OF THE MAJOR BEA SCHOOLS WILL GIVE YOU A START FOR EXAMPLE NABEA OR REXS COURSES OR BOB BURTONS COURSES OR LANCES COURSE OR KEVIN NICHOLS COURSE-LOTS OF COURSES OUT THERE-I RECOMMEND YOU TAKE AS MANY AS YOU AFFORD -YOU WILL GET SOMETHING OUT OF EACH-AFTER THAT FIND A GOOD LOCAL BEA AND TRY TO APPRENTISE WITH HIM-YOU WILL LEARN MORE ABOUT STAYING ALIVE WITH THEM THAN ANY WHERE ELSE.

Thanks HGUNNER. I have been in this forum for only a couple of days and I realize that some members are the ones you take advice from. You are one and thanks for your imput. I had already contacted the NABEA and scheduled a class before posting here but was not sure if they were reputable or not.

One more thing is that the state of Maryland seems to only ask for you to have a certificate. Is that the same as the certificate the clas gives you after completion and are you good to work after that or is there something else I would need to do as far as state requirements go.

I HAVE TAKEN MEL BARTHS CLASS (NABEA) AND HAVE READ THE TRAINING MANUELS USED BY MANY OTHER SCHOOLS I SAY AGAIN LANCES COURSE(I TEACH WITH LANCE) REXS COURSE, KEVIN COURSE, BOBS COURSE(NIBE) ARE ALL COURSES TO GIVE YOU A GOOD START.I WOULD CHECK WITH THE PROPER STATE AUTHORITIES TO MAKE SURE THE NABEA COURSE IS STATE ACCEPTED.YOU GET OUT WHAT YOU PUT INTO THE COURSE.LISTEN AND READ AND ASK QUESTIONS ABOUT WHAT IS BEING TAUGHT.AS I HAVE SAID IN MANY PAST POSTS THIS IS A TOUGH FIELD IT CAN GET YOU KILLED AND OR LOCKED UP OR MAINED FOR LIFE.
I WISH YOU ALL THE LUCK IN THE WORLD IN THIS INSANE BUSINESS WE ARE IN
