Post subject: Question about the biz

I've read here that mostly agents are hired with military or police backgrounds. What I'm wondering is if they are willing to hire those without such training, if they are in peak physical condition with training in such fields as small arms and martial arts. The reason I ask is I don't believe in a lot of the decisions made by the military, or should I say the governments which run them. I do not mean to sound unpatriotic in any way, I'm just wondering how agents feel about this sort of approach.

You don't HAVE to have a military or police background, but it helps! It depends on your local area, licensing requirements, and other things. Supply & demand really. I don't have any military background and seem to be doing fine breaking into the business. If I were you I'd just go to your local bail bonds office and have a chat with them.
