Purported Bounty Hunters Jailed on Kidnapping Charges

EASTON, Md. (AP)- Two people claiming to be bail bondsmen are in jail
on the Mid-Shore for kidnapping, burglary and theft charges.
Police in Easton say Ruth Garcia and Ryan Burgess originally went to
an Easton man's home two weeks ago looking for a Caroline County man
who had allegedly missed a court appearance on assault and sex
offense charges.

The police say they displayed guns, searched the apartment and took
items they said would help them find the suspect. They also said
they'd return if the suspect did not turn surrender.
The police say Garcia and Burgess showed up again last week,
handcuffed and shackled the Easton man, forced him into their car and
drove him to Queenstown for questioning. The man was later
released.

Garcia and Burgess were arrested two days later.

If the story is accurate..... they should be arrested. As Lance, myself and many others have stated we may need some form of Federal guidlines drafted for our industry.

What is wrong with people ? There again is a good picture of people that think they better then the law. These are the type of people who give the ones who go by the law a bad name. 'Bad Cowboys"!!!
