Hello,

Does anyone know if a bail bondsman has the right to go to Guyana and arrest a fugitive out of Florida. If we are not allowed is there any info that I can use in court for a motion.

My best guess would be to contact the US consulate or embassy in guyana (if one exists). You're stepping into another country that may or may not honor US extradition. Either way it's best to get in contact with the govt channels to see if it can even be done.

Under no circumstances should you go there without the blessing of the country of Guyana and the US. I don't know about you, but I would not want to spend the rest of my days in a Guyanan prison.

For info on the filing motions in the state of Fla I would contact NYPD BLUE on the forums here.

You need to familiarize yourself with the triple sealed warrant process.

My guess would be that if you go into Guyana to apprehend a fugitive... without the proper extradition papers... you will probably be trying to find someone to get you out of jail... and for what it is worth... jails in South America... even though Guyana is actually a Caribbean state... are not particularly nice................

.... that is an uneducated guess...

One simple Answer to your Question.... NO ! You Can Not ...\

PS: ????

Are you a LICENSED FLORIDA SURETY AGENT ? ...
If not.... you will not be able to SURRENDER THIS DEFENDANT and will probably be arrested for armed kidnapping (NO Bond Charge in FL).. You must be a LICENSED FLORIDA BAIL AGENT TO SURRENDER IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA.
