Today, at app. 1230cst, Richard Cox-aka "Bloddhound" returned home to find it ablaze. Fire fighters were on the scene still battling the totally engulfing inferno.

Mr. Cox ststed "We have lost everything, clothes, furnishings, family hierlooms, you name it, we've lost it".

Praise God that no one was injured in the balze. Mr. Cox and his brother were out on a job, his wife was at work, and thier 3 children were at school.

Cause of the fire is still unknown at this point.

I personally have called upon several of you for donations of cash and or clothes for immediate relief for Mr. Cox and his family. They are at ground zero now.

The children need the follwoing: clothes for an 8yr old boy, 6yr old girl, 4 yr old boy.

Richard's wife wears a size 9; Richard wears size 38/30 in jeans, lg shirts.

All of us have kids or relatives that have clothes they no longer wear or need, maybe you guys have outgrown some jeans and shits that you no longer wear or need, same for any ladies, relatives that have size 9 cloethes for his wife.

As usual, cash money is always in short supply. Those of you with families can appreciate what it takes to support a family of 5.

Please send whatever you can, whether it be $25, $50, $100..send it to my address:

917-E Merchant's Walk
Huntsville, Al. 35801

I personally am making a relief run over to him first thing in the morning with local donations.

Richard is prior military (US Army), former LEO-Ga. State Trooper (He medicalled out after suffering a knee injury during a high speed pursuit)
He is a member of my team and has been a good friend to me.

Thanks to all of you for your help.

Ruffin's post has had 46 views thus far with nil for responses. You only know who your friends are when you are in need.

I am sending a money order for $100.00 in the morning.

Anyone else or am I the only one?

My family and I are heading up to North Alabama to get what we have to Richard and his family. Ruffin, I'll leave it with Berry in our Scottsboro office. I'm sorry for what happened Blondhound.

Richard and his wife, Dana asked me to extend thier genuine heartfelt appreciation for all of the help you guys are offering.

I spent most of the day with them. I took over a car load of stuff for them, then we went shopping, out to lunch, and then I had to return home. In spite of everything, the kids were in remarkable high spirits.

Richard took me to the site. It is totally devastated. The fire dpt. determined that it was started by a faulty room space heater in 1 of the children's rooms. Had this fire started a few hours earlier, it would probably have killed 2 of their 3 children...Praise God no one was home or injured.

The other hazard the firefighters faced while battling the blaze was ammunition "cooking off"...Richard being 1 of us naturally had a few boxes of ammo stored inside the house.

The good news is that the house was paid for and fully insured. The insurance adjuster is coming out on Monday to assess it. Then it will probably be a month or so before they settle the claim with Richard. So we need to keep supporting him until the insurance comes through.

1 correction to my previous post: Richard wears an x-lg in shirts.

Anyway, thanks to each and every 1 of you for all you have done. 1 day you guys may be jammed up and we'll be able to help you out..who knows. 1 thing I do know..what goes around comes around.

Take care and God Bless,

Ruffin.

We have wired Western Union the family $200.00 from the members at AB. I just talk with Mr. Cox and he has picked it up I sure they could use the cash right away. I wish him and his family the best. We will be getting a care package out to him in the next few days. I encourage everyone to give a little something.
