LOL... that's funny. If it's true and he really was a victim, I say: RIGHT ON!

Being a revolver I don't think the baby oil made it not fire. Some new revolvers have a transfer bar which the hammer hits which then transfers the force to the firing pin. There is a chance it got gummed up but if he already fired six rounds... Possibly he didn't close the chamber all the way and lock it in. I know that can happen with revolvers, if you don't lock the wheel in most revolvers I don't think they will fire for safety.
