I use captira it takes a while to get used to but has really nice features. We pay 150 a month with unlimited background checks.

I use Bail Books for Several Companies its pretty straight forward and like anything after you use it awhile it is second nature..
Bail Books rates vary depending on the amount of Agents you wish to add..

Another Bail Bond company I write with uses Captira and the Insurance Company they write for foots half the monthly bill making the monthly nut $75 for CAPTIRA.. Like Eric said.. it takes a little to get used to .. I dont always go on it .. its a nicer layout than Bail Books and they have a few more perks such as Unlimited Back Ground Checks which is nice so we dont run up money fees on the IRB account and other search programs we use to Qualify a Bond.

They all get the job done it just depends on what your budget is and how many agents you have.

Everyone here can probably say good and bad about both.. but I am sure the companies can give you a sample to try out to see if it is what you need or want.

You can build your own program if you have the computer savvy. I believe Scott M. built his.

We created our own as well. Its primarily used to hold defendant data, track contract/bond payments, notify of fta's, and keep tabs on which agents need continuing ed or license renewals. We rarely do a background check on a person using a pay service, but it can display the case history back to 1998 on a potential bond, or defendants who are running.
Works well for us, but it is a custom tool.. :)

Well I am not computer savy enough to build my own (except for excel spreadsheets). Anyone care to share or sell a copy of theirs? I'm not into the background aspect of it either. Hell, they're all criminals!!
