I know most, if not all of you, are NOT members of the PBUS. However they are having a very important election coming up in 3 weeks in Las Vegas.

Some of you may recall that several years back I quit the PBUS because of their support a certain person(s). I renewed my membership again just this past August as I felt that I could do some good from the inside of the association as a member where I would have a voice.

Now the board of directors positions are up for election. There is one particular position, Senior Vice President, that is a contested race.

One of the candidates is Fred Anschultz. The other I will not mention by name. I am supporting Fred.

I have known Fred for 10 years. He is an honest, sincere person with the best interests of bail in his heart. His opponent is a self promoting, interested only in whats can they get out of it type person.

If any of you are attending the PBBUS or know of anyone attending, please have them vote for Fred Anschultz. Talk to your surety company. Have them vote for Fred.

If the other person gets elected, it will be a major set back for the PBUS and the entire bail bond industry. The negative image of this other person will do so much damage that eventually it will effect the bail recovery side of the business also.

I am not one that usually runs around screaming the sky is falling but in this case, IT IS THAT SERIOUS!

I know Mary and I will support her. But the person running the Sr VP, lets just say will suck all the air out of the organization.

Here is a link to the PBUS ballot. You can see who is running for the various positions on the Professional Bail Agents of the United States.
