2 more days of school left for me here in VA....can somebody do me a favor?...click your heels and make it Friday already......
I hope NABBI starts in VA first on training standards....it needs help!

Bob,
The Virginia DCJS Training Standards are on point for the entry level agent. The problem is that most of the instructors/schools providing the training have no real field experience in bail enforcement and recovery. They are certified as general instructors by DCJS, and that for the most part means they can teach any regulated course absent firearms training which requires a different certification.
That why it is imperative that the student check the history of the school/instructor, talk with others who have taken the training from the same schools. Your training is only as good as what you glean from it. Good luck with the rest of your training, remember you will need the 07E/08E course if you plan to be armed in Virginia along with your CCW.

Congratulations Bob.... stick close to Scott... guys like him and DSI (Gene) are few and far between and are the ones you need to really learn from .... school, as Gene pointed out... is just book learnin'..... real world training takes place when you are out with guys as mentioned...
You can call me for a laugh but call those other guys if you want real life learnin'....
