"Evil abounds when good men do nothing.."

These are not my quotes (I wish), and unfortunately I don't remember whose they are but as long as I don't claim them as mine I am not violating any copyright laws.

Now, with the legal disclaimer's out of the way on to my point, other's on here have given birth to a previously unidentified possibility. If we could organize ourselves into some sort of a national unit, team, association, etc. and could then collectively negotiate with each storm stricken state to act as a private police force under contract to round up thier escapees or fleeing felons then we could really, really do something positive for this industry.

With proper training, education, resources, leadership, and guidance we could become a force to be reckoned with.

Imagine 500+ prior military/leo/pi's and BEA's all fully uniformed, armed and organized launching a coordinated mission to track down and capture any and all fleeing fugitives, state by state.....

Rod's next movie could be " Invasion of the Bounty Hunter's ".....?

Yes, it is doable. Remember they told Jimmy Hoffa he could never succeed at bringing all of the laborer's under 1 umbrella...but he did it, didn't he ?

No, I am not joking.

While certainly a lofty goal, wouldn't it be a site?

The referenced quote may be by Edmund Burke, though I'm not certain.

You would never get everyone together and follow the structure not set up by themselves. As lance has said many a time, you will not ever get a national organization together with everyone in competition against each other. With this is mind I do not believe that you could get 500 BEAs together and follow the lead of a few. To many egos to stroke..... but, I would be in if it was able to be done,

I don't think they will get 500 bea s together... if one could do that, one could make a national organization... but a group of 20 to 30 people who can work together and set up a heirachy based on experience in a management or "team leader" function as well as those individuals responsible for marketing (securing the contracts), then a pay structure that is based upon that heirachy... that is possible.

Heck, To start, I'd do it for about a hundred twenty five bucks a day (12 hours give or take) if lodging, food, and transportation is covered.

Well 20-30 is a start..."every journey begins with the first step forward"...I admit I am not a business man...I am field man..don't put me behind a desk...However, I would have no problem working with the folks on here that I have come to know and respect.

We could hold nominations, elections, etc..then have those people who are good at marketing and sales to handle the contract negotiations, and then have people who are experienced "field commanders" set up squads or platoons....you folks get the idea...

This is doable...we just have to want it bad enough and set aside our petty, personal differences with one another for the common good.

Time is running out...Texas will need "bullet catchers" and extra security after this storm.

Yeah, but if you aren't licensed as security personnel or a PI in Texas, you can't work as such there.

NOLA is still needing people... they are reporting a rise in crime now that resources are being diverted.

As for texas... wouldn't need a license if you get contracted by the state and given temporary authority under the state as a state contracted agency.
