Here is a PDF document that in my opinion will serve to educate those that need to know the basic court system and how it works.
This document is related directly to Virginia but the basic line is pretty much the same nationwide... with some differences related to your particular state.
It is lengthy but very good for not only new members but a refresher for us old guys!!
This is for GENERAL DISTRICT COURT, which is the lower court in Virginia... there are basics in upper courts (Circuit and Supreme in Virginia) but they should be almost identical except for the logistics and pertinent stuff to that specific court...
I have printed this document and carry copies of it for hand out stuff, along with my card... it is a good tool and not only enlightens the public but will bring you business as well.
