Hello All,
I am new to the FRA Neighborhood. Whats the best way to find Bail Co's to work for??? I have myself and 2 others that are on our "team" as Fra"s and we need to know the best way to get more clients. Any feedback would be GREAT. Thanks to you all for any help you can offer. Brian G

Introduce yourself properly and list your training, bondsmen you have worked for etc.
Best of luck,
Scott

Whats the level of experience of you and your team? I think most who enter the business will find that getting work is much harder than they anticipated.

I recently became a licensed FRA in the state of Louisiana, and I also am looking for work. If anyone knows of any Bail Bond companies, or FRA teams in my area, interested in a motivated FRA please respond. I appreciate any and all feedback.

Guys,
It is not as if there are hundreds of bail agencies out there with stacks of files of skips just waiting to be worked.
Get or keep your day job. Stop watching the tv shows (if you are) and don't believe the hype that in a recession that crime will go up and more people will get arrested, bondsmen and women are getting rich.
We AINT!
So develop clients the old fashion way. Dress up, put together a short bio and reference sheet and go knock on doors.
Other than that, KEEP YOUR DAY JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank You Mr.Suggs, Not that I or anyone else here hasn't gone thru it but I have been working very hard since last year to get this business going, along with all the medical bills and court plus working, and damn near making a few bad decisions along the way I'm still trying and working my day job.

If I had to do it all over again, I would have started by going to work for a Bail Bond company as an agent. That way, youre learning the industry from the point of writing the bonds and dealing with the bond company clients upfront, learning the bonding-court processes, learning about Surety companies, collateral, etc. There is a lot more to the industry than 'catching skips'. Anyhow, creating a good name for yourself is key, and learning how to and becoming licenced to write bail is in your best interest. You can even write bonds for a local company part time, making commision on what you write....all while learning all of the above. If you can prove to a bond company that you are good with their clients when writing up their bail, they might learn to trust you in apprehending thier skips in the future. S O'Connell http://www.FRSofAZ.comI have to agree with this advice. Everyone and their circumstances are different, but for me finding work as a Bail Bond agent makes good sense. I recently got hired as an agent by a company out of the Twin Cities and I wish I had done this a year ago. The experience and contacts you make working for a Bail Bondsman give you a good foundation for work in this field.
