From your experience what do you think is the best web site for skip tracing?

Johnny.

Johnny.
I dont think the answer lies in only one website, or one database. As someone who specializes in hard to locate skips, i use numerous websites and databases, Many of which are free, some of which are not.
Dont underestimate the power of the social networking sites. Three of the last 5 skips i brought in had a Facebook or a Myspace. Of course some are set to private, so you will have to use your imagination as to how to get inside. Not all skips have facebook etc, but i bet some of their family members do, any little bit of information you can garner could be very helpful.
I also use Intellius quite a lot too. If used correctly you can gather a lot of info for free.
Of course, i also use several of the pay sites.

Dean, thank you for your reply. I never thought to search Facebook, Myspace, etc. I appreciate the info...

I frequently search social networks for defendants and anyone associated with them. I also do simple google searches on both the names and phone numbers. Sometimes you get a hit and some interesting info, sometimes you come up empty.

Other than that, I use IRB and Skipsmasher.

in the line of the social networking sites...I have an ad on all of the dating sites, my wife helps me write the introductions and we have fun with it! All of my introductions have an allusion to "Just checking things out" or "Just here investigating the possibilities". Granted, these are for the PI side of my business, but I have found Skips on these as well. Come to think of it, also found some married friends on there as well :)

I look for people on social networking sites, but got stuck registering on some that I didn't like. Now that the SIQ is in custody, I just ignore the spam e-mails that I get from them.
