I'm in love with Ranger, but so is Stephanie Plum, and since they are both fictional, I guess she wins  .

If any of you doubt any of what I have written, drive by your Judge's, Da's, Sheriff's, etc houses/neighborhoods. Check out the private schools they send their children to, thier vacation homes on the shore, etc etc. While doing so, you should be asking yourself how can they afford all of this on my tax payer dollar ?

I have just driven by the Judge's houses in Maryland and Virginia, and I saw VW Jettas and other small and inexpensive cars. The houses looked modest and in good repair, but nothing extravagant. I would have to say that in my neck of the woods, along with one of our senior members as my navigator, (not to mention names but his initials are Bill Marx) we found absolutely no corruption or hints of impropriety in our states. We don't need no stinkin' audits!

Allyn,

Don't give too much of your story line away. We want to read it when you publish.

Good luck!

I like Clancy's early stuff...I dont care for his new stuff or his co-author.

My sentiments exactly.... none of his current, coauthored stuff do I like... I get the impression he is writing for the money.... if you know what I am saying.... the older, much longer books were filled with great character building and detailed accounts that kept ya interested.... as for WEB Griffin.... I think I have read all his stuff.... and I really like it all... so far... the Army series was great too and some of his main characters cross over to other books.... and his story lines are IMHO so historical.

Angela, I haven't read that one yet, but will very soon. The whole series is about as "fictional" and "outrageous" as it gets about our profession, but I read and enjoy every book, because I know that it is complete fiction, and it is absolutely entertaining given its blended legal terms with completely entertaining, completely illegal actions.

That form of fiction is fun, and not meant to be anything else. I guess other writers and readers may critique writings in different ways, but if the writing is blatantly fiction, I read and accept it as such.

It will work....it would take alot to get traction, though. I have seen 280 Zs with small blocks, Honda Prelude with a small block, Pinto's with small blocks, Monza's with big and small blocks, Vega's with big and small, motorcycles with small block's, and I saw a (only one...singular) VW bug with a 383 small block that would stand on the rear bumper for a complete 1/4 mile. So, I believe in ya, Bill.

Okay, that's interesting.

I gave my guy an SUV - I had thought about an H3, but... for now I just keep saying SUV, not sure what kind. It's black though. Cliche? LOL
