agent 992 posted on usrb that we were bad mouthing the usrb and not to listen to anybody but them-i also must assume that 992 has a reading problem since the ny law says specificly that all beas must be licensed to work in ny period no exceptions for out of state skips or beas - it even mentions that out of state must be licensed - so it appears the usrb is giving wrong advise again--i have alredy notified people (friends) in the nypd , state police , federal marshalls(southern district) and dept of state-they have said any body acting as bea unlicensed will be arrested and prosacuted-this is the law of the land we must stop all illegal activities commited in the name of bea--we must police our ranks--we must show the nation we are pros not a bunch of cowboys and amatures running around with a title--i keep saying the days of the butcher baker and candle stick maker are gone-if we are to survive and prosper we need to have trained proffessional beas not wannabees-no i am not against new blood as a matter of fact i welcome new blood but only if new blood is willing to put in the time and pay their dues with time and effort--only then will i say Hi BROTHER

I have replied to Agent 992 & Spike on the USRB forum. I simply stated to read the NY laws that are available for viewing on their website. We'll see if Spike has the nerve to actually post it.
Their forum is a lot like having someone tell you something while there is a big, bright neon sign behind them contradicting everything they say. You just want to grab their head, spin it around, and say "LOOK! That sign says your full of it! Explain yourself!!!"

i replied to the usrb forum also explaining why skip was incorrect even quoted ny bea law and section --the moderator did not post it--they are chicken ca ca no nuts and they do know they are wrong and are not willing to own up to it--wait till some of their 2 or 3 day wonders go to jail-it is just a matter off time --it is already happening in lynn mass--remember the old saying every dog has his day --also this old retired cop has forgotten more than they will ever know--tactics procedures and the law-- i dare them to go head to head THEY WILL LOSE

History tells us that one incident garnering national attention can change the landscape of the trade.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that certain items closely resembling the USRB badge, shirt, and possibly a raid jacket have collectively been called an 'impersonator officer safety' problem by federal authorities after a specific incident. Whether or not the items are USRB product is not clear, but law enforcement is aware of the potential problem.

Hadley, you did the right thing considering that the misinformation damage may be done in your AO. In fact, you may want to consider E-mailing your local agencies the web address for the USRB, so that they can make up their own minds.

Rex

There is absolutely no mark of progress in emailing local agencies with USRB website and subsequent information as suggested. There are extremely few law enforcement agencies that give a rat's patootie let alone pass on the information to the rank-and-file. It is a waste of time and effort. I've done all that many times through the years regarding similar matters... all to no avail.

Policing our own? Yeah, right. Give me an example (other than the Barber situation) where policing our own has accomplished the goal. There is a situation here in NH that should perk law enforcement interest but NO ONE GIVES A ----! Such issues come up for air then slip below the surface again continuing their swim.

I have fought more negative issues through the past 21 years concerning bail enforcement than most of you have had cases. I know when it is time to be a lion and when its time to be a lamb. I also know not to insult the alligator until after I cross his river.

If anyone here believes USRB will cease any wrongful operations because 'pros' want it to stop you are in denial of the realities. But have fun chasing the rainbows.

just peeked at the usrb forum-someone asked about nys licensing and the usrb answered that they were licensed in ny--just so happened i call the nys dept of state on fri with a question on licensing and asked if there were any licensed beas in ny state their answer was no-they also explained that a ny licensed pi could bea work with out a bea license-so the moral of the story is if the usrb is not licensed in ny as a pi organization then they are unlicensed and their agents subject to arrest in ny--even if they are licensed as pi in ny their agents need to be licensed employees of the pi firm

I'm not to concerned about USRB, they have not gone unnoticed by a certain Law Enforcement Agency and will soon be answering for their activities, when all is said and done there will be no USRB and it's operators may be provided long term accomodations courtesy of uncle sam.

I've said all I'm at liberty to say however I'm sure we will be able to read about it when the time comes, hopefully it won't end up reflecting poorly on our industry, the more we police our industry the better light we are viewed by the media.
