Our common sense, justice and fairness was tried 20 years ago. It was called Simpson-Mazolli (spelling?.) It created an amnesty program and penalty for employers of illegals.
Well so much for amnesty that was to be a one time event. Now we have 3 times as many illegals waiting and now demanding amnesty. They and their supporters were out in mass on Monday. They also got all of the policticans watching and so worried that they will not propose any law changes that would make them appear racist!
Secondly the employer sacntions never happened. Again both Dems and Repubs will not take any meaningful actions against employers without fearing losing election contributions.
(Those that fail to learn from past mistakes are doomed to repeat them.)
My idea is simple. If illegals can demand that the USA treat them "special" simply because they are poor, need work and they don't have to go through the process every other LEGAL immigrants does, then lets show them we can do with out them for a day.
On Wednesday, June 14th, USA Flag Day lets not support any company that hires employs illegals. AND since the marjority are from Mexico, lets not use, buy or consume any products from Mexico.
On Monday, Mexicans boycotted Amercian businesses both here and in Mexico! Lets just return the favor!
Then lets fly the Amercian flag everywhere just like we did after Sept. 11, 2001. This movement is just as bad of an invasion and assault on Amercian as the attacks were. Its just slower and below the radar, until Monday's marches.
America can't solve every other country's problems. THATS THE REAL REALITY. If other countries don't try to solve their economic, politician and social ills, why should we.
