MEMPHIS, Tenn. An investigation continues into the fatal shooting of a U-S Marshal by Memphis police officers.

A report by the medical examiner says Mary Fisher was shot numerous times and that she also fired several shots, including some after she was wounded Sunday.

Investigators say the circumstances surrounding the incident are still a mystery.

Shelby County Sheriff's deputies had searched for the 46-year-old federal officer all night after some of her co-workers called from her home and said Fisher was delusional and had driven away in her white B-M-W.

City officers spotted the car being driven erratically and followed Fisher into her driveway in Cordova on Sunday morning.

A police spokesman says two officers ordered her out of the car and she leaned out and started firing at them. The officers returned fire, killing Fisher.

Officer Patrick Taylor was hit twice in the leg and was in stable condition at a hospital following the incident. The other officer wasn't hurt and the officer's name hasn't been released. Both are on routine administrative leave.

That's interesting... so her "co-workers" were at here home? I wonder what they were doing there in the first place... and if they were there, then why did they let her leave in a "delusional" state?

Then she apparently drove around memphis all night in this delusional state and returned home the next morning? Did she just drive around all night or did she go somewhere?

This is very odd and smells extremely fishy... might just be my paranoia but something is wrong.

You know I hate to sound like a conspiracy theorist but maybe she was on to some corrupt marshals who were working with the memphis pd and they went to her home to try to "talk" to her. Failing that they decided to get rid of her.

Sounds crazy but it has happened before.
