Much to the dismay of my wife i to am a toy guy--I do believe the man with the most toys at the end win-I also strongly believe the difference between men and boys are the price of their toys--thats why i shop at lewis arms(favorite gun store) ford(favorite car store)dillion reloading supply(favorite gun accessories) and mitch rosen gunleather(favorite clothing accessories(really custom holsters) ) plus assorted 4 wheel drive and truck accessories stores-plus i get to use other peoples toys for a while when i repo them--great world we live in

I did a brief (very) stint as a sales manager with Toys R Us. I quit due to some severe issues with their General Manager.

The store had not made a sales goal in five years and was severely over budget on sales hours. They did not have a "sales culture" mentality and was suffering for it. The funny thing was that in Evansville, their only competition (other than wal-mart) was KB-Toys who had closed all their stores.

Despite this they were unable to meet sales goals... till I got there, that is. Within the first two months there I had recovered over 300 hours of payroll, passed the first District inspection in 3 years, as well as increased the store's customer service secret shopper review.

After proving my point to the GM who actually was resentfull of how well the store was doing, I resigned. Got tired of it... the dm was trying to dig up dirt on the GM and was trying to put me in the middle of their fight as well as the drama going on in the store. I detest drama.
