Thank you all for the warm welcome. I have been at this business for a few months now and still learning new things every day. I have to say that one of the best pieces of advice going around at the moment is "Do not quit your day job"( Thank you speezack), but due to my recent discovery that I am, indeed, a people person, I can't imagine getting back behind the wheel to cruise-control goods across this great nation. And, although the Indiana Department of Insurance ( they regulate the bail bond industry in indiana) is can be a pain in the backside, their regulatory function pales in comparison with the dreaded DOT. I find the nuances of bail and recovery to be very intriguing( spelling?) Being the principal agent at a new office is a bigger challenge than I imagined it would be and I could not be happier to have this opportunity. I am putting as many( maybe more..I dont keep track) hours, in and out of the office as I did keeping my old truck on the road to get this thing rolling and it has been nothing short of an adventure.
It is my personal mission to know there is to know about bail bonding and bail recovery as professional should. My personal philosphy about not ever cutting corners is constantly reinforced by the experienced posters here.
I am digging through posts on this website on a daily basis and all I can say is "WOW". So much to pore through that is extremely helpful. It's all here. the only thing missing is a magic button to press that directs me staight to the post that answers my question. Even without that I often stumble onto answers to questions I have not thought of yet. Thanks to all for the time and effort that you all put in to making this site THE place to go for information and networking. Whether I am confirming something that I have been told by another agent or debunking something that doesn't quite sound right, this is my first stop.
