IDPA partners with Gun Nuts Media
11-07-11 (Redmond, WA) - The International Defensive Pistol Association, the world-wide shooting sport focusing on self-defense situations and real-life equipment is pleased to announce their partnership with Washington based Gun Nuts Media to provide social media services and develop a first of its kind web-series for the shooting sports: IDPA.tv.
Established in 1996, IDPA has grown to over 17,000 members across 50 countries; IDPA recently hosted their inaugural World Championship in Frostproof, Florida attracting almost 400 shooters from as far away as Poland and Venezuela. IDPA is committed to growing as a sport and helping the next generation of gun owners and concealed carry permit holders find a safe, fun, and educational venue to hone their skills.
"I'm very excited to work with Caleb and his team at Gun Nuts Media" says Joyce Wilson, Executive Director of IDPA. "Their experience with social media and true passion for the shooting sports made this a natural partnership that generates the opportunity for tremendous growth at IDPA. The development of IDPA.tv by the team at Gun Nuts creates another excellent venue to attract new shooters and preserve the sport for future generations."
Gun Nuts Media will be responsible for growing social media initiatives for IDPA, as well as developing the new web series IDPA.tv. IDPA.tv will focus on the guns, gear, and personalities of IDPA with an inside look at local, state, and national matches in a way that no shooting TV show has before.
"Working with IDPA is one of those opportunities that you jump on immediately when it comes around", says Caleb Giddings, President of Gun Nuts Media. "My very first action shooting match of any kind was an IDPA match in Indiana in 2008, and I've been involved in the sport ever since. IDPA.tv is an idea we've had in the office here for years now, and now we're working directly with IDPA to bring it to fruition."
The first episode of IDPA.tv is set to premiere in January of 2012, with episodes following on a regular basis after that. To stay up to date on what's happening with IDPA, go to
