Agreed. Almost every major sporting goods stores are selling them. Key factors to consider though: IR pixels, battery life, distance, etc.
1 option regarding power sources: Solar panel connected to a marine battery. Great as a power source for a multitude of purposes: power outages, outdoor activities, etc.

Sounds pretty high-tech but as a beginner, training with a BEA company I really don't need that yet. At least in my opinion.
