As a P.I. company owner, i get a lot of calls and emails from people wanting sponsorship. I am generally astounded as to the variance in attitude. Some are well prepared and professional, while others just want to know if they can carry a gun.
When you present yourself, be honest. State your lack of knowledge/experience then talk up your good qualities, and what you do bring to the table.
Dont bullshit, we are P.I.'s we know it when we see it.
I dont know about other company oweners, but im not looking for a "robot" investigator, im always looking for those that think outside of the box but within the boundaries of the law, those that have a get up and go attitude, natural born problem solvers etc...
