Anybody have any llinks that show any statistics on getting people back to court, bail industry vs cash bonds? Our local county has been discussing going to cash bonds. I know that I have seen some that show greater success using bail bond companies before, but I am now having trouble finding them. I am going to be getting with a couple local companies and show them, so they can petition our county. Thanks for any help.

Search for the number of open warrants, Philadelphia is a cash bail system and the warrants and uncollected forfeited bail is in the millions. http://bail-florida.com/bail-blog/tag/pretrial-release/and many more... Scott

I believe one of the national associations of insurance companies who write policies for bond agencies has that information. It would be a part of their process in determining rates. If you Google licensing laws for BEA, etc, I believe one of the results will be the association of insurance companies who underwrite agencies.

There was a study done that is used . . . I think that it is posted somewhere here (link to). It will be somewhere in the Open Section. Gotta run right now or I would find it for ya.

Contact Mike Whitlock of American Surety Company out of Indianapolis. They are conducting a similar survey right now.
